Terms of Service and Private Parking Terms
Effective Date: July 28, 2026 Version: 2.0 Company: Veritas Parking Group LLC
Nationwide Base Terms for Website, App, Dashboard, Payments, and Supported Private Parking Facilities
These Terms of Service and Private Parking Terms ("Terms") govern the Veritas website, mobile application, dashboards, accounts, parking-payment services, and private parking facilities that expressly reference these Terms. They explain different relationships involving Veritas Parking Group LLC ("Veritas"), Account Users, Facility Operators, Drivers, and Vehicle Owners.
Please read the part that applies to you. Part I applies generally. Part II applies to website, app, dashboard, and account use. Part III applies to Drivers and parking transactions. Part IV contains additional legal terms. State Supplements follow Part IV.
The Privacy Policy explains data practices and is available at https://www.veritasparkinggroup.com/privacy. Agreeing to these Terms is separate from acknowledging the Privacy Policy.
PART I - GENERAL TERMS
1. Parties and Roles
1.1 Veritas
Veritas provides technology and administrative services for private parking facilities. Depending on the facility and service, Veritas may provide license plate recognition, payment technology, destination-use review, event review, notices, disputes, reporting, and related services.
Veritas is a private company. Veritas is not a government agency, law-enforcement agency, court, or public parking authority. A "Parking Charge" under these Terms is a private contractual charge, not a governmental fine, citation, ticket, tax, or criminal penalty.
1.2 Facility Operator
"Facility Operator" means the owner, manager, tenant, association, business, or other person that represents it has lawful authority to control parking at the identified private facility. A Facility Operator generally establishes the site rules, ordinary parking rates, permits, exemptions, approved destinations, time limits, and selected operating model.
The Facility Operator's commercial relationship with Veritas is governed by a separate written services agreement. These Terms do not replace that agreement and do not authorize a person to act for a property without documented authority.
1.3 Account User
"Account User" means a person who uses a Veritas app, dashboard, portal, or account. A business Account User acts for the organization identified in the account and represents that the user has authority to bind or act for that organization within the assigned role.
1.4 Driver and Vehicle Owner
"Driver" means the person who brings or keeps a vehicle at a supported facility. "Vehicle Owner" means the registered owner, lessor, rental company, fleet operator, or other person with a legally recognized interest in the vehicle.
A Vehicle Owner is not automatically treated as the Driver or made personally liable merely because the person is listed on a vehicle record. Responsibility depends on the posted contract, the evidence, and applicable law.
2. Which Terms Control
The following order applies to a particular parking event, from highest to lowest priority:
1. mandatory federal, state, and local law;
2. an applicable State Supplement or legally required local notice;
3. the conspicuously posted property-specific sign and rules;
4. the checkout, payment confirmation, receipt, invoice, or dispute notice for the event; and
5. these nationwide base Terms.
A term cannot reduce a nonwaivable consumer right or authorize a practice prohibited by law. If documents conflict, the higher-priority document controls only to the extent of the conflict.
The separate written services agreement controls the commercial relationship between Veritas and a Facility Operator. It does not expand a Driver's obligations beyond the terms lawfully communicated to the Driver.
3. Geographic and Feature Availability
Downloading the app, visiting the website, or creating an account does not mean every feature is available in every state or at every facility. ALPR, Walk-Off, payment, owner-lookup, mailed-notice, collection, towing-support, and other features are activated only when Veritas approves the state, facility, signage, workflow, and service provider for production use.
Availability and rules may vary by state and facility. No Account User or Facility Operator may enable, instruct, or represent that a feature is active without Veritas's written production approval.
Private ALPR and camera-based Walk-Off production features are not available in Maine under current law. Maine facilities may use only a separately approved, non-ALPR workflow that complies with the Maine Supplement.
4. Acceptance of These Terms
4.1 Account Users
An Account User accepts these Terms by selecting an unchecked box or comparable control that conspicuously states that the user agrees to the Terms, after being given a reasonably accessible link to them. The user separately acknowledges the Privacy Policy.
If the user acts for an organization, the user represents that the user is at least 18 years old and has authority to accept these Terms for that organization. If not, the user must not create or use a business account.
4.2 Drivers
A Driver accepts the property-specific parking contract only when conspicuous signage or another lawful notice communicates the material rules, rates, Parking Charge, and method of accessing incorporated terms, and the Driver then enters, parks, remains, or purchases parking under those terms. A hidden website term does not replace a disclosure required on a sign.
If a Driver cannot safely read the entry sign while driving, the Driver may use any legally required or posted entry grace period to review the rules and leave without parking. Stopping temporarily for safe reading, loading, unloading, or another legally protected activity is treated according to applicable law and the posted rules.
4.3 Website Visitors and Inquiries
A visitor may browse the public website subject to Sections 10, 11, 12, 33, 34, and 35. Submitting a sales or service inquiry authorizes Veritas to respond but does not create a parking-management contract, agency relationship, exclusive negotiation, or duty to deploy services.
5. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms prospectively for legal, security, operational, or service changes. The current version will show its Effective Date and version number.
For Account Users, Veritas will provide reasonable notice of a material change and will request renewed assent when required by law or when the change materially increases the user's obligations. Continued use does not substitute for renewed assent when assent is legally required.
For Drivers, the Terms in effect and conspicuously communicated at the time of the Parking Event govern that event. A later version will not retroactively create or increase a charge.
PART II - WEBSITE, APP, DASHBOARD, AND ACCOUNT TERMS
6. Account Eligibility and Authority
An Account User must:
● be at least 18 years old;
● provide accurate, current information;
● use the account only for facilities and functions the user is authorized to access;
● promptly update role, organization, property, and contact information;
● maintain any business, property, tenant, or agency authority required for submitted events or instructions; and
● comply with applicable law, the organization's Veritas agreement, and Veritas operating rules.
A Facility Operator or business user represents that it owns the facility or holds lawful, documented authority from the person controlling the facility to establish or administer the parking rules it asks Veritas to support. The representation is continuing. The user must promptly notify Veritas if that authority changes or ends.
7. Credentials and Account Security
Account credentials are personal to the assigned user and may not be shared. Account Users must use reasonable password security, multifactor authentication when offered or required, and supported device and software versions.
The user is responsible for activity conducted through the account until Veritas receives notice of suspected unauthorized use, except to the extent the activity resulted from Veritas's breach of an applicable duty. The user must promptly report suspected compromise to support@veritasparkinggroup.com.
Veritas may require identity or authority verification, revoke sessions, reset credentials, restrict exports, or suspend access to protect the service, data, users, or facilities.
8. App-Based Event Submissions
An authorized Account User may use an enabled app feature to submit a possible parking event. The user represents for each submission that:
● the user is acting within an assigned property and role;
● the location, date, time, plate, vehicle, rule, and notes are accurate to the user's knowledge;
● photographs or video fairly depict the event and have not been materially altered, fabricated, or taken from another event;
● collection and submission are lawful and consistent with property notices and workplace rules;
● the submission is not motivated by discrimination, retaliation, personal conflict, harassment, or an unrelated purpose; and
● the user has not promised that Veritas will issue or collect a charge.
Submitting an event does not create a Parking Charge. Veritas may validate authority, evidence, signage, eligibility, payment, permit, legal requirements, and duplicate events. Veritas may reject, void, settle, refund, or decline any event in its reasonable legal and operational judgment.
9. License to Submitted Content
The Account User or the user's organization retains any rights it lawfully holds in photographs, video, documents, comments, and other submitted material ("User Content").
The user grants Veritas and its providers a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, analyze, annotate, redact, reproduce, and disclose User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the services, administer the relevant Parking Event, satisfy legal duties, and exercise or defend claims. The license continues for retained case, transaction, security, backup, and legal records after account closure and ends when those records are deleted.
The user must not submit material the user lacks authority to collect or disclose. Please redact unnecessary medical, financial, government-identification, or other sensitive information.
9.1 Business-User Payouts
These Terms do not by themselves entitle an Account User to a percentage of a Parking Fee or Parking Charge. A business-user payout applies only if a separate written services agreement or property schedule states the eligible event, percentage, deductions, payment timing, tax treatment, and lawful recipient.
A payout must not increase the amount owed by a Driver, create an employment relationship with Veritas, or reward an individual based on issuing or upholding charges where law prohibits that incentive. Veritas may withhold, reverse, or deny a payout for a voided, refunded, duplicate, fraudulent, disputed, chargeback, unlawful, or ineligible event.
10. Acceptable Use
No person may:
● access another person's account, property, case, or data without authorization;
● scrape, bulk download, probe, scan, reverse engineer, or bypass access or rate controls, except to the limited extent a nonwaivable law permits;
● upload malware, interfere with service availability, or test security without written authorization;
● use parking, plate, image, vehicle-record, or account information for personal surveillance, stalking, immigration enforcement, advertising, discrimination, or another unrelated purpose;
● conduct bulk, pre-event, speculative, or curiosity-driven vehicle-owner lookups;
● fabricate, manipulate, reuse, or conceal evidence;
● capture or submit audio as parking evidence unless Veritas has given express written approval following a jurisdiction-specific legal and privacy review;
● use the service to impersonate a government body or describe a private Parking Charge as a government citation;
● activate or direct a feature in an unapproved state or at an unapproved facility; or
● violate privacy, consumer-protection, debt-collection, accessibility, parking, surveillance, employment, or other applicable law.
11. Veritas Technology and Intellectual Property
Veritas and its licensors own the website, app, dashboard, software, designs, workflows, databases, configurations, models, documentation, trademarks, and other technology, excluding User Content and third-party material.
Subject to these Terms, Veritas grants an Account User a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the enabled service for its intended purpose during the account term. No source code, model, system, or data ownership transfers to an Account User or Facility Operator.
Feedback may be used by Veritas without restriction or compensation, provided Veritas does not identify the person publicly without permission.
12. Third-Party Services and App Stores
The service may use or link to payment processors, maps, authentication providers, camera vendors, hosting providers, app stores, or Facility Operator services. Those third parties may have separate terms and privacy notices. Veritas is not responsible for an independent third-party service outside Veritas's reasonable control, but this sentence does not eliminate a duty Veritas has under applicable law.
If the app is downloaded from Apple:
● these Terms are between the user and Veritas, not Apple;
● Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the Veritas app;
● Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this Section and may enforce it; and
● nothing in these Terms reduces rights provided by Apple's applicable terms.
Equivalent app-store terms apply where required by another authorized distributor.
13. Support, Availability, and Beta Features
We aim to provide reliable services but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Cameras, networks, mobile devices, payment processors, power, weather, maintenance, and third parties can affect service.
A feature identified as beta, pilot, preview, or test may be changed, limited, or withdrawn and must not be used for production Parking Charges unless Veritas separately approves it. Account Users must maintain reasonable manual alternatives for essential property operations.
14. Suspension and Account Deletion
Veritas may suspend or restrict an account or feature when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, nonpayment, lack of authority, suspected misuse, data risk, service integrity, or an unapproved deployment. When practicable and lawful, Veritas will give notice and an opportunity to address a remediable issue.
An Account User may request account deletion through the app, if available, or by contacting support. Deleting the app does not delete the account. Veritas may retain payment, tax, case, dispute, security, contract, and legal records as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Account closure does not cancel an independently valid parking session, Parking Charge, commercial agreement, or accrued payment obligation.
15. Electronic Communications and Records
Account Users consent to receive agreements, receipts, notices, disclosures, and service communications electronically at the supplied email address, telephone number, app, or dashboard, subject to applicable law. A user may withdraw consent to electronic account communications by closing the account, but withdrawal does not affect prior records or communications that law permits electronically.
Veritas records the version of Terms presented and may record assent time, account, device or app version, and related audit information. Electronic signatures and records are intended to have the same effect as paper records where law permits.
No recurring or subscription charge will be imposed on a consumer without separate clear disclosure and affirmative authorization.
PART III - PRIVATE PARKING AND PAYMENT TERMS
16. Property-Specific Rules
Each facility's signs and payment interface identify the rules that apply, which may include:
● who may park and in which area;
● whether payment, permit, validation, destination use, or another authorization is required;
● ordinary parking rates and taxes;
● when a paid session begins and ends;
● any entry, purchase, top-up, loading, stopping, exit, or overstay grace period;
● maximum stay, return restriction, overnight rule, restricted zone, or exemption;
● the amount or method for determining a Parking Charge;
● payment, dispute, appeal, and contact methods; and
● special rules required by state or local law.
If a material price or Parking Charge is not conspicuously disclosed as required by law, these Terms do not supply the missing amount.
17. Supported Parking Models
17.1 Paid LPR Parking
All vehicles must have a valid paid session, permit, validation, or exemption as stated on the sign. A camera may record entry and exit, and the system may compare the plate and parking duration with payment records.
At an open facility, a Driver may be permitted to purchase prepaid parking within the first 15 minutes after entry and, if the posted terms allow, to buy additional time within 15 minutes after paid time expires. The actual grace periods are those stated on the sign or required by law. A payment attempted after a posted grace period does not retroactively erase an already completed unauthorized event unless Veritas or the Facility Operator expressly approves it.
At a pay-on-exit facility, the Driver pays the calculated amount before or during exit. At a gated facility that is posted only as a pay-on-exit model, nonpayment or overstay is handled through the gate and payment process and does not create a separate Parking Charge unless a distinct, conspicuous, lawful rule states otherwise.
17.2 Destination-Use or Walk-Off Parking
Parking is authorized when at least one vehicle occupant makes the qualifying visit or use stated on the sign. The property-specific rule may authorize parking:
● only while the approved destination is actually being visited;
● during the visit plus a stated period;
● for a stated maximum duration after a qualifying visit;
● for the rest of the calendar day after a qualifying visit; or
● under another clearly stated, lawful rule.
A time-linked movement connection may be used to evaluate whether an occupant traveled between the vehicle and an approved destination. The process does not use facial recognition or biometric identity matching.
A person who remains with the vehicle, loads or unloads, reviews the signs, or engages in another protected stopping activity is not treated as having walked off merely because no destination connection appears immediately. Available entry, on-site, and exit evidence is considered before a final determination.
17.3 Hybrid Parking
At a hybrid facility, a vehicle is authorized through either:
● a valid paid session, permit, or exemption; or
● a qualifying destination visit,
as stated on the sign. A Driver who pays validly is not charged merely for leaving the property, and a Driver who completes a qualifying free destination visit is not required to pay unless the posted hybrid rule clearly requires both.
17.4 Authorized App-Based Enforcement
At an approved facility, an authorized Account User may document a possible unauthorized event through the Veritas app. Veritas reviews the submission under Section 8. The Driver remains entitled to the applicable notice, evidence review, dispute, appeal, and legal protections.
18. Paid Parking Transactions
18.1 Seller and Merchant of Record
Unless the checkout page and receipt clearly identify another lawful arrangement, the Facility Operator is the seller and merchant of record for ordinary Parking Fees. Veritas provides technology and payment-administration services as the Facility Operator's service provider or agent.
The checkout page and receipt will identify the merchant of record for the transaction. Payment routing or a revenue split does not by itself determine the merchant of record. The payment-system configuration, customer-facing disclosures, receipt, statement descriptor, refunds, disputes, and tax treatment must consistently identify the actual merchant.
For a private Parking Charge issued with Veritas identified as creditor, Veritas is the creditor and merchant of record for that Parking Charge unless the invoice clearly and lawfully identifies another creditor and merchant of record. The Facility Operator's revenue share does not change the Driver-facing creditor or merchant identity.
18.2 Rates, Taxes, and Fees
The Driver must pay the rate, tax, and disclosed transaction fee shown before confirming payment. Rates may vary by facility, zone, time, vehicle, event, or duration as law permits. The final confirmation screen controls if it clearly corrects an earlier estimate before the Driver authorizes payment.
18.3 Beginning and Extending a Session
For prepaid parking, the session begins when payment authorization succeeds, unless the checkout screen clearly states a selected future start time or another method. Starting a payment flow without successful authorization does not create a paid session.
The Driver must enter the correct facility, zone, license plate, state, and duration. Before confirming, the Driver should review the information. If a correctable error occurs, the Driver should contact support promptly and retain the receipt. Veritas will consider a good-faith minor entry error and available payment evidence before issuing or upholding a Parking Charge.
An extension is effective only after successful authorization and must be completed within any posted top-up period. Availability of an extension is not guaranteed after the maximum stay or other eligibility condition has ended.
18.4 Pay on Exit
For pay-on-exit parking, the fee is calculated under the posted rate and recorded parking period. The Driver must complete payment before leaving through the designated exit process. A Driver who cannot pay because of a verified system failure should use the posted assistance method and follow reasonable instructions.
18.5 Receipts, Refunds, and Chargebacks
A receipt is provided electronically when valid contact information is supplied or through the payment interface. A refund is governed by the posted refund rule, transaction status, duplicated or erroneous charge, system failure, and applicable law.
A Driver should contact support before initiating a chargeback so an error can be investigated. This does not waive the Driver's rights with the card issuer. A chargeback does not automatically invalidate a separate Parking Charge or other amount, and Veritas will not pursue duplicate recovery.
18.6 Payment Security
Card details are handled by a payment processor such as Stripe. Veritas does not intend to store full card numbers or security codes. The Privacy Policy and processor's notice explain related data practices.
19. Parking Charges
19.1 When a Parking Charge May Be Issued
A Parking Charge may be issued only when:
● conspicuous, legally sufficient notice communicated the applicable rule and charge;
● evidence reasonably supports that the vehicle was subject to the rule and the event occurred;
● required grace periods and exemptions were applied;
● a trained person reviewed the event;
● issuance and notice are permitted by applicable law; and
● no verified payment, permit, validation, destination visit, loading activity, accessibility authorization, or other defense resolves the event.
19.2 Amount
The applicable sign, State Supplement, or event notice states the Parking Charge. These nationwide Terms do not create a universal dollar amount. A charge must be lawful, conspicuous, and commercially reasonable in context and must not be described as governmental.
19.3 Human Review and Error Prevention
ALPR, payment matching, time calculation, movement linkage, and event flags may assist review but are not treated as conclusive. A trained person reviews relevant plate images, vehicle features, timestamps, facility rules, payment and permit records, destination evidence, grace periods, and duplicates before issuance.
Veritas may decline, cancel, reduce, settle, or refund a charge for evidentiary, legal, customer-service, operational, or fairness reasons. Doing so in one case does not change the rules for another event.
19.4 Single Event and No Duplicate Recovery
Veritas will not knowingly issue multiple Parking Charges for the same continuous event and same rule violation. A Driver remains responsible for any separate ordinary Parking Fee only if the posted terms and law permit both amounts and the invoice clearly prevents double recovery.
19.5 No Automatic Registered-Owner Liability
A mailed notice may be addressed to a registered owner or other authorized recipient when law permits obtaining and using the record. The notice does not establish that the recipient was the Driver. Veritas will consider timely evidence of sale, lease, rental, theft, plate error, lack of control, or other legally relevant facts.
20. Notices and Motor-Vehicle Records
An on-vehicle or mailed notice is sent only through a workflow approved for the event state. The delivery method and deadline are governed by applicable law and the event notice.
Before requesting a motor-vehicle record, Veritas or its authorized provider must document:
● the specific eligible Parking Event;
● the exact federal and state legal authority for the request and use;
● the requesting user, source, date, purpose, and permitted recipient; and
● required access, disclosure, and destruction logs.
Private parking enforcement is not assumed to be a lawful Driver's Privacy Protection Act purpose in every circumstance. If a lawful purpose or source-state authorization is unavailable, Veritas will not obtain the record or send a record-based mailed notice.
21. Disputes and Appeals
21.1 How to Dispute
The invoice or notice states the available dispute method and deadline. A dispute should identify the event and explain the basis, with relevant proof such as:
● a payment receipt or bank record;
● proof of a valid permit, exemption, validation, or approved destination visit;
● evidence of loading, unloading, sign review, system failure, emergency, or accessibility authorization;
● evidence of plate, vehicle, date, time, location, rental, sale, or ownership error; or
● another fact showing that the event or charge is incorrect or unlawful.
Do not submit unnecessary medical, payment-card, Social Security, or government-identification information.
21.2 First-Level Review
A trained reviewer considers the dispute, evidence, property rule, payment and permit records, applicable law, and original event evidence. The reviewer may affirm, reduce, cancel, request information, or refund the charge. Compensation must not depend on upholding a charge.
21.3 Independent Appeal Where Required
Where law or the notice provides an appeal, it is decided by a functionally independent, trained reviewer who:
● did not issue or decide the initial charge;
● is not responsible for citation processing, collections, or enforcement for that matter;
● is not supervised in the appeal function by a person responsible for those activities where law prohibits it; and
● receives no compensation based on outcome or amounts collected.
A provider that performs owner lookup, notice mailing, payment collection, or the first dispute is not used as the legally required neutral appeal adjudicator unless independent counsel confirms that its separated function satisfies the governing law.
21.4 No Retaliation and Collection Pause
Veritas will not increase a charge or retaliate because a Driver uses a timely dispute or appeal. Collection activity on the disputed amount is paused while a timely dispute or appeal is pending, except for a step law expressly permits.
22. Collections
If a valid amount remains unpaid after all applicable dispute and appeal periods, Veritas or the identified creditor may send reminders or refer the matter to a lawfully authorized collection provider or attorney.
Interest, late fees, collection costs, and attorney fees are added only if clearly disclosed, legally permitted, and actually applicable. A collector must comply with federal and state debt-collection, licensing, validation, communication, and consumer-protection requirements.
Veritas does not furnish Parking Charges to consumer reporting agencies.
23. Towing, Immobilization, and Physical Removal
Veritas does not tow, boot, immobilize, seize, or physically remove vehicles as part of the ordinary services governed by these Terms.
A Facility Operator or independent licensed towing company may take separate action under applicable law and separately posted towing terms. Veritas is not the towing operator and these Terms do not grant towing authority. Veritas may provide event or contact information only when disclosure is lawful and within an approved service.
24. No Bailment; Vehicle and Property Safety
Parking is a license to occupy a space under the posted rules, not a bailment or custody of the vehicle. Neither Veritas nor the Facility Operator takes possession of a vehicle merely because it is parked.
Except to the extent caused by a party's legally actionable conduct, Veritas is not responsible for theft, vandalism, weather, collision, vehicle contents, or conditions at a facility. Drivers remain responsible for locking vehicles, safeguarding property, obeying traffic controls, and using reasonable care.
The Facility Operator, not Veritas, generally controls pavement, lighting, striping, traffic flow, physical accessibility, and premises maintenance.
25. Accessibility and Accommodations
Drivers must follow lawfully posted accessible-parking rules. Veritas review should account for visible disability plates or placards and reasonably submitted proof. A Parking Charge concerning an accessible space or a claimed disability-related accommodation requires human review.
A person who needs an accessible payment, notice, dispute, or policy format may contact support. Veritas will provide reasonable communication assistance as required by law.
26. Emergencies and System Failures
A genuine emergency, evacuation, medical event, law-enforcement direction, facility closure, or verified system failure will be considered in review. The Driver should use the posted assistance method and preserve reasonable evidence when practicable. This Section does not require a person to delay emergency action to contact Veritas.
27. Privacy
The Privacy Policy at https://www.veritasparkinggroup.com/privacy explains the information used for parking, payments, accounts, cameras, ALPR, Walk-Off review, vehicle records, disputes, and collections.
Parking at a facility may involve collection of plate and event information after legally sufficient notice. Optional app permissions and legally regulated sensitive information are handled through separate notice or consent when required. These Terms do not create consent where privacy law requires a separate affirmative choice.
PART IV - ADDITIONAL LEGAL TERMS
28. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website, app, dashboard, and technology are provided "as is" and "as available." Veritas disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.
This disclaimer does not:
● eliminate a nonwaivable consumer warranty or statutory right;
● excuse a refund for a duplicate or erroneous payment;
● establish the validity of a Parking Charge;
● limit a duty concerning Personal Information that law does not allow us to disclaim; or
● apply to fraud, willful misconduct, or another liability that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.
29. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veritas will not be liable to an Account User for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from digital-service use, even if advised of the possibility.
For a business Account User's claim arising from the free or paid digital service, Veritas's aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of:
● the amount the Account User's organization paid Veritas for the affected digital service during the 12 months before the event; or
● USD 100.
These limits do not apply to payment refunds owed, bodily injury caused by negligence, infringement or misappropriation, a privacy or security liability that cannot be limited, gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or a nonwaivable statutory remedy. They do not determine the validity or amount of a Driver's Parking Charge.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits. In that case, the provision applies only to the maximum extent permitted.
30. Business-User Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, a Facility Operator or business Account User organization will defend and indemnify Veritas and its personnel from a third-party claim, government inquiry, loss, or reasonable cost arising from:
● the organization's lack of authority over a facility or submitted event;
● materially false, fabricated, unlawfully collected, or unauthorized User Content or instructions;
● unlawful property rules, signage content, discrimination, premises conditions, or use of the service outside written production approval; or
● the organization's material breach of Sections 6, 8, or 10.
This obligation applies only to the extent caused by that organization or its users and does not cover Veritas's negligence, legal violation, willful misconduct, or breach. Veritas will provide prompt notice, allow reasonable control of the defense, and may participate with its own counsel. No settlement may admit fault by or impose a nonmonetary obligation on Veritas without written consent.
This Section does not apply to a Driver or consumer solely because the person parks, pays, disputes a charge, or uses a personal account.
31. Governing Law and Forum
31.1 Parking Events
A parking contract, Parking Fee, Parking Charge, notice, dispute, or vehicle-record issue is governed by the mandatory law of the state and locality where the facility is located. Any lawsuit concerning only a Parking Event may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the event, subject to nonwaivable venue rights.
31.2 Digital Accounts and Website
Except for a Facility Operator's separate services agreement and nonwaivable consumer law, these Terms as applied solely to the website, app, dashboard, or account are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue for a business Account User dispute lies in the state or federal courts serving Palm Beach County, Florida.
A consumer may bring a claim in any other forum that nonwaivable law permits. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class action.
32. Compliance With Law
Each person must comply with law applicable to that person's conduct. Veritas may decline or suspend an event, account, property, feature, lookup, notice, or collection when Veritas reasonably believes it creates legal, privacy, safety, evidentiary, or reputational risk.
No contractual term requires Veritas to perform an unlawful act. A feature is not approved merely because it is technically available.
33. Copyright and Trademark Notices
Veritas names, logos, product names, and designs are trademarks or protected materials of Veritas or its licensors. They may not be used to imply endorsement, government authority, or affiliation without written permission.
A person who believes content on a Veritas digital service infringes copyright may send a sufficiently detailed notice to the address in Section 38. Veritas may request the information required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512.
34. Export, Sanctions, and Restricted Use
Account Users may not use or export the digital services in violation of United States sanctions or export-control law. This Section does not authorize deployment outside the United States.
35. Force Majeure
Veritas is not liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, disaster, utility or network failure, labor disruption, war, civil disorder, government action, or third-party infrastructure failure. This Section does not excuse payment refunds or duties that law does not allow us to avoid.
36. Assignment
An Account User may not assign these Terms or transfer an account without Veritas's written consent. Veritas may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of substantially all relevant assets, subject to applicable privacy and consumer law.
37. Severability; No Waiver; Entire Terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
These Terms, the incorporated State Supplement, property-specific posted rules, payment confirmation, and Privacy Policy form the complete consumer-facing terms for the covered digital or parking interaction, subject to the priority in Section 2. They do not replace a separate signed services agreement.
Headings are for convenience. "Including" means "including without limitation." Electronic and paper copies are equally admissible where law permits.

STATE SUPPLEMENTS
The following supplements modify the nationwide base Terms only for a Parking Event in the identified state. Veritas may publish additional state or local supplements before activating a service.
FLORIDA SUPPLEMENT
F-1 Scope
This Supplement applies to private parking facilities in Florida that are open to the public and at which Veritas issues or administers a private Parking Charge. It is intended to reflect section 715.075, Florida Statutes. The statute controls if this summary differs from current law.
F-2 Required Signs and Nature of Charge
Before a Florida Parking Charge is issued, the facility must display legally sufficient signs at the required locations. The signs must make clear that the property is private, state the rules and charge, identify the private operator and contact method, and provide legally required grace and dispute information.
A Florida Parking Charge is private and is not issued by a governmental authority.
F-3 Fifteen-Minute Entry Grace Period
A Driver has at least 15 minutes after first entering the facility to review the parking rules and leave without being charged, as Florida law requires. The grace period permits review and departure; it does not authorize continued parking beyond the period.
A Driver who actually parks or completes payment during the period remains subject to the valid parking transaction and posted rules. Veritas also considers loading, unloading, remaining with the vehicle, and other facts relevant to whether the vehicle was parked and whether a violation occurred.
F-4 Notice
A Florida Parking Charge notice must be placed on the vehicle or sent by mail within five business days after the Parking Event, as current Florida law requires. A mailed notice must contain the information required by law and must not falsely imply government authority.
F-5 Dispute and Appeal
A recipient may dispute the charge within 15 days after the notice is placed on the vehicle or postmarked, as applicable. Veritas or the identified first-level reviewer will review a timely dispute within five business days.
If denied, the recipient may appeal within 10 days after the denial to a neutral third-party adjudicator. The neutral adjudicator must be operationally independent from issuance, citation processing, payment collection, and collection activity, and must not be compensated based on outcome.
If the neutral adjudicator affirms the charge, payment is due no sooner than 15 days after the appeal decision. Collection activity is paused during a timely dispute and appeal.
F-6 No Vehicle-Record Sale
Motor-vehicle-record information obtained for an authorized Florida event is not sold and is used or disclosed only for a documented lawful purpose.
MAINE SUPPLEMENT
M-1 ALPR and Walk-Off Camera Features Unavailable
Veritas does not authorize private ALPR collection or use in Maine. ALPR-based paid parking, ALPR-based hybrid parking, and camera-based Walk-Off production enforcement must remain disabled unless Maine law changes and Veritas gives written approval supported by Maine counsel.
M-2 Separately Approved Non-ALPR Parking
A Maine facility may use a separately approved non-ALPR method only if:
● the charge is reasonable;
● the charge and material rules are conspicuously posted at each entrance or exit as required;
● written notice is provided to the vehicle owner through a legally authorized method;
● payment is not due sooner than 10 business days after notice; and
● the process complies with current Maine consumer-protection and parking law.
This Supplement does not itself approve owner lookup, mailing, app enforcement, or collection in Maine.
ARKANSAS ALPR SUPPLEMENT
A-1 Activation and Purpose
An Arkansas ALPR feature may be activated only after Veritas classifies the facility and each participating entity under current Arkansas law and documents the permitted parking-enforcement purpose.
A-2 Retention
Unless written Arkansas legal approval establishes a different applicable category and period, ALPR plate images, numbers, and associated capture data at a private facility must be deleted within 60 days after capture. No general case-retention rule in these Terms extends that limit.
A-3 Published Rules and Statistics
Before activation, Veritas and the Facility Operator must implement any Arkansas requirements for published acquisition, access, use, sharing, retention, destruction, and audit rules. If the applicable entity is required to compile or publish parking-enforcement ALPR statistics every six months, activation is conditioned on an operating owner, data source, review process, and publication method for those statistics.
CALIFORNIA SUPPLEMENT
C-1 ALPR Policy
California ALPR use is subject to the California ALPR Usage and Privacy Supplement in the Veritas Privacy Policy, including purpose limits, role-based access, training, audit logs, accuracy review, sharing limits, custodian responsibility, retention, and destruction.
C-2 Administrative Review Independence
Where California law requires an initial review, administrative hearing, examiner, or other adjudicative process for a covered parking charge, the reviewer or examiner must satisfy all statutory independence, training, supervision, compensation, deadline, and procedural requirements. A person or provider responsible for citation processing, collection, or enforcement for the matter will not be designated as the independent examiner where law prohibits it.
C-3 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms waives a California consumer's nonwaivable rights, remedies, notice requirements, or venue rights.
COLORADO SUPPLEMENT
CO-1 Remuneration-Exempt Disability Placards
At a Colorado paid parking facility, a vehicle displaying or registered with a valid remuneration-exempt disability placard or plate receives the payment exemption and related treatment required by current Colorado law. Veritas and the Facility Operator must provide a practical method to register or verify the exemption and must suppress a nonpayment charge when reliable evidence establishes eligibility.
CO-2 Accessibility
No app-only or QR-only process may eliminate an accessible alternative required by law. A dispute involving a disability placard, accessible space, or requested accommodation requires trained human review.
GEORGIA SUPPLEMENT
GA-1 Overnight Charges at Paid Private Lots
At a Georgia paid private parking facility, a Parking Charge for a vehicle parked during the period from midnight through 9:00 a.m. may not exceed the maximum permitted by current Georgia law, including any statutory limit measured above the ordinary parking fee. The lower of the posted amount and the lawful maximum applies.
GA-2 No Repeated Charge Workaround
Veritas and the Facility Operator may not divide one continuous overnight event into multiple charges to avoid a statutory cap.
